As I walk along the road
I stumble yet again.
The burden I carry so heavy
I keep sinking in the sand.

Another wave of guilt washes
over me and I fall to my knees.
I get to my feet again and
regain my pace
Will I ever be free from
this pain within?

You always said you'd be
there to hold my hand.
Where are you now when
I'm sinking in this sand?

I'm so tired of this place.
I feel my life a totall waste.

Can you see my tears
or hear my cry?
Will you help or just
pass me by.

Will you take my hand?
I need someone to help
me stand.
I'm sinking again.

Will my soul ever
find a home?
Or is it my fate
to be alone.

As day fades into night
with no redemption in sight.
My jaded soul gives up the
fight.
I hold out my hand as I
sink beneath the sand.

There is a lot of depth and emotion here. Well written. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope that your friend has found their peace.

Extremely well written. I can feel the emotion wash over and engulf me. Try to remember the better times, and don't have the end be someone writing a similar poem about you.

reminds me of one i wrote a long time ago for a similar friend...
don't blame yourself for someone else's choice.

most of us have felt like that before, when we're down and no one seems to wanna help...everyone's too selfish and ur all alone...u haf really expressed the emotions one goes through fantastically. my classmate tried to commit suicide b4 so i noe how u feel. ~hugs~ blakloks

Believe me, that's nothin' to mess around with. I hope you have someone you can talk this through with. One of my friends just kept it inside, kept it inside ... it almost destroyed her.
