Don't tell me because I am sixteen,
I don't know what love is.
I have been there, loved someone,
But first loves never survive.
I was lost in a sea of love,
Head over heals for this guy.
Gave him my life, gave him my love.
Then my life went down with that love,
And all he did was laugh at me
While I sat there and begged him to take me back.
The love that I once loved,
Now I hate in a passionate way.

I started to drown,
I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t speak
Didn’t even want to leave the house anymore.
I thought love was my life,
Life wouldn’t fail me now,
After love didn’t work out so well.
Until life started to go down like a ship,
Just like the love did.
Sinking in a storm.
Reaching for oars to try to stay a float
But even the oars couldn’t keep me going.

When he walked out on my life,
My life went with him.
My once happy days,
Turned dark and gloomy,
Never wanting to love again.
Never wanted to hear the word "Life" again.
But then he came into my life,
And threw me his life savor.
Never thought I would love again.
I thought wrong.
I moved on to another.

Another heartace, another heartbreak.
He left me as fast as he ever thought he could.
Didnt hurt as much this time,
Because he knew it was for the best.
Left my door open this time,
To show he still cares.
Love I guess just wasn’t for me.
But I still love him,
Even if he doesn’t see it.
But for now, just friends.

Hey, I don't really know the rules for Dark poetry, but I thought this might be in the rules.  If this puts it up twice..this computer always does that.  Sorry!  But this isnt really a poem tho..More like a very long story..I am suffering from writers block..but I love this one.

The poignant way in which you describe the all-to-often reality of love gone not as planned or wanted is much too vividly portrayed in your words for you not to know of what you speak. Never let others tell you what you feel or know. God just gave you a gift at a younger age than some can handle it. I know, trust me, very well how painful the heartache of heartbreak can be. It's been my life. And not that it will get any easier, but you will find coming to love yourself for the beauty of what you can give to that one that finally does give back will carry you through.
Your feelings here are poetry-emotion.
Your words from start to end are poetry in motion.
And this most certainly was a welcome addition to Dark. Thanks for sharing the hardest of things to share.

An interesting poem.  I see you have a bit of a nack for irony:

The love that I once loved,
Now I hate in a passionate way.

I kinda know how you feel.  I am dealing with similar forms of emotional distresses, more over dissillusionment with most of the aspects of love.  I like how you came to a conclusion with this one, with your comment that it didn't hurt as much a second time.  Do you believe this to be a mixed blessing, or a good thing?  Sometimes when it doesn't hurt it can mean something is wrong...

As for grammatical errors, I do not believe you meant to spell "life saver" the way you did, namely life savor.  Or perhaps you did, and this is all a big wordplay conspiracy you've got going here...

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"
