'neath Odin's tree the raven slept,
and to my watching eye
Chronos himself, as on he crept
did seem to pass it by.

No breeze did stir those feathers black,
nor season seemed to mark
it's passing on the raven's back,
in that near-total dark.

Who knows how long the raven lay,
'neath his old master's tree.
What sights were seen in ancient day,
by this black bird I see?

What battles fought, what heroes fierce,
what glorious feats of yore?
Perhaps he saw the Valkyries,
come flying to the war.

Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul.

Hey all!  been a LONG time since I've posted, so hope you haven't forgotten the Angry Bard!  sorry about this one, I know it's not finished.  It comes to me about a verse at a time, and I still don't know why I'm writing it, or what I want it to say.  please let me know what you think!
