From the darkness I run,
Hoping my chance will come.
To defeat this her and be free,
To end the torment inside of me.
I try to fight best I can.
But in the end alone I stand.
The darkness slowly consuming me.
I slowly drown in misery.
Everyone watches everyone stares.
They can't see the darkness there.
I decide I can't let her win.
So I slip away into oblivion.
The life I lead short and sweet.
I now see her standing at my feet.
Smiling like she has won.
Even after what has been done.
I realize with my last breath.
I let her win I do regret.
From the light I did stray.
As I tried to get away.
All this time the darkness chased.
I ran deeper into her embrace....

So true, and so well written!
Sometimes when we think we are running
from what we hate and fear;
we are actually letting it overtake us.

Keep up the good worke, I enjoyed this,
and keep hope, for the Light does shine
Always, GG

- And so it was that time stood still -
