You once wrote a song for me,
The week after we broke up,
The week before you got me back,
I remember crying and wishing I had never left,

“All those nights I never told your secrets,
Well it really doesn’t seem that way,
And all those notes you never gave me,
Now I know what they say,”

“All this love,
All this hope,
All this pain,
Gone up in flames,

With your words in my head,
And your smell in my bed...
I still think of you,
Every time it rains,”

There is more-- but I forget the rest,
The way that I have forgotten you,
I never thought it would happen this way,
I didn’t think I would be the one to forget,

How could some one from my past,
Come back and take my love back,
When I thought I could only love you,
Now I know I was wrong,

As I watch….
“All this love,
All this hope,
All this pain,
Go up in flames,”

And I hope you never know,
What the note I didn’t give you really said,
Because I want to keep holding onto this lie,
I only hope I can convince YOU this time,

~~~The quotes are from what I remember of "When It Rains" by my boyfriend, Matthew Paul Solina- April 2001.~~~
Personally I avoid writting pieces about failed relationship (simply because there are so many of them for me to write about!) but I think you did a wonderful job with this one. I hope your ex-boyfriend doesn't mind you giving out his name.
This my dear, is very sad.  I am sorry for your current situation and hope you find a way out of it soon, but always remember to stay true to yourself. (oh and tell your boyfriend, for now, that he is a beautiful writer as well)
Also, I strongly urge those of you who have read this even if you did not enjoy it, to read the poem in the Teen Forum from this young lady.  it is an exceptional work and deserves praise--"From the edge of the deep green sea"  it is a double post
