The veil between the worlds is very thin,
Sometimes it's hard to decide which realm we are in,
To know if dreams are past realities,
When feeling pain, is it real or a memory we are living in?

What plain am I walking on?
One of the past?
One of futures yet untold?
Either way I pray that happiness will last.

Those that touched my soul,
Are they real?
Or do I simply lap it up,
Cos of my longing to feel?

Do I touch them too?
And does my loving change their life?
Or am I mere emotional dalliance?
For when they feel low or when they are in strife?

The veil between the worlds is sometimes so confusing,
It magnifies all emotions we feel,
The smart ones know the difference,
What is imagined or what is real.

So many questions.... that we all ask ourselves from time to time.

I hope you find the answers you seek.

I hope we all find them.

Magnanimous, Isis! "Emotional Dalliance"... I am right there with you, and indeed, we are in the midst of it.

Beautiful, yet heart wrenching... Thanks.

We do not realize how often we have brushed this fragile veil in our lifes. It sometimes parts so easy for those who pass through. Then they turn and see a transparent wall that cannot be breached.
