TUMOUR

Surely it came
The answer
To all my questions

The gateway never seemed more open
Eagerly for me to tread
And the herds behind
Never seemed more fierce

The autumn trees
Weeps an elegy
In harmony
With my solemn wish
To live the life
I loved to hate

How I loathe thee
Cruel destiny
Obligating me to the fall
And the image
Of distant beauty
Untouchable to me

Death spreads inside
And pain, razorsharp
Cuts my dying heart
And leaves me
Wanting to hate
The life that I loved
