where insanity meets breeding

The weight of the world seems so heavy today
For a little lost soul that has lost her way
In a world full of people, all living dreams
There’s no point in dreaming, least that’s how it seems

As I look for a corner, retreat in my mind
To all joys of life, suddenly I’ve gone blind
And the one I could count on to be there for me
Has been taken away, snatched by god cruelly

Dear mom can’t you come back, be there for me now
I need you down here, can’t you come back somehow
As you watch up above do you cry for my pain?
Were those your tears, last night when it rained?

Who will now hold me, lead me into light?
Please can’t you hold me, it’s been such a long night
Who’ll catch me, I’m falling, deep in the abyss
I know I have friends, but it’s you that I miss

This corner I stand in, just me all alone
Retreat to it deeper, becomes now my home
And yes, I’ll feel sorry for me now today
I know I’ll come back, seems I’ve just lost my way

For now let me stay here, in my misery
Tomorrow’ll be better, tomorrow I’ll see
Right now I will stay in depression of night
It just seems so fitting, this darkness feels right

I sit here just willing the tears now to fall
But these eyes are dry, seems I’ve given my all
I have nothing left, to give back to myself
There is nothing left….inside this shell

Hey Tracey, just popped in over here at DP, and found this sad poem. I'm so sorry you are feeling this pain. I think it's ok to go ahead and feel bad sometimes, we are always trying so hard to stay positive and find the good things. But once in a while, it's ok to just be sad. Take care, sweetie.

Thanks Sandra. Was just a bit of a rough day for me. This mood won't last long, started to feel better after I wrote this, and I'm sure I will be back to my old self tomorrow.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

I guess there have to be days like this, sometimes.  Though, your longing is evident, so is the love you both have for each other.  I'm sure she sees you but I would imagine she smiles, not cries at her daughters beautiful heart.
