I know
That I
Will probably die alone
Because of
The way my heart is

Maybe it is true
What I was told
So long ago

What will become of me?
I can love
And be loved
Yet the cold inside
Thorns

Maybe it is true
But it was so long ago
“Night is your love
And consumes all of that you are capable”

If that be true
I will die alone
Under stars or cloudy sky
What’s to become of me?

I want to love
And feel it till it hurts
Yet my heart
As cold as it is
How could she love me
When I’m lost
In this place?

When death takes me
I will lay my lips
For that final breath
And wonder....
Yes, I will probably
Die alone.
