The light in her eyes went out
Their sparkle dissipated

Pools of blue
Became ponds of gray

As a page of life
Was turned that day

She stepped through
The pages of a dark and dreary
Ancient mysterious book

Where maidens are bound
By evil wizards

Female damsels
Aren't permitted  to smile

Ladies wait in darkness

Alone with the devil's child
