Born Of Hope

Born of hope
Raised in pain
I live this life
Cloaked in shame

Dare I continue
To follow this plight
To seek the freedom
And remove this blight

To carry on
And bear the weight
Seems that I must
For it is my fate

"Let me pierce the realm of glamour
So I know just what I am." ~ Van Morrison

Your fate, although anguished, builds wisdom and gives you the "power of love", and your hope is your secret armor.

For just a whisper in the air is heard by one somewhere... you see, your life was meant to be...
Keep treading your thorn laiden path. It is yours to tread, and the destination for you is, and will be worth it all, now and forever. Thanks for sharing!

How I relate to this, and fate I am still trying to figure out that word!  Good to be in the dark for a few, my eyes were blurred

Kathleen ~ I've given up trying to figure it out. I don't know if it's all that good to be in the dark too often, but there is enlightenment to be found there on occasions. Take care my friend!

EagleOne, we all at sometime feel that we have to struggle, I hope these feelings don't last too long for you.

Oh, how I understand.  The only hope is that the light has to be some place and may it come soon.  It has alot more meaning after the darkness.  You can make it!!!  ME

Fate and destiny!  Mmmm  what to say about them, I agree I think, as it is not generally until we look back that we can recognise it! Glad you enjoyed my friend, can't say as I agree with your thoughts on my writing though , take care!

Keeping on-- the adversity will make you stronger and make the destination even sweeter to reach.

Jamie, at the end of the day I guess there's not really much choice but to keep going is there! Thanks.

This is beautiful, Eagle... such powerful words, but so very few in its intensity.  I loved it.  Fate sucks sometimes, eh?  *sigh*  Very well done, indeed!
