One day blurrs into another
with no boundaries between,
the emptiness within me
swallowing all sensation,
numbness my state of being,
until I realize again
that your heart belongs to another,
and the ache that refuses to die
envelopes me,
leaving me feeling hopeless.

I understand it too.  You did a good job putting words to a very difficult feeling.

Also, very timely Ben Franklin quote to have in your signature.  With some of the stuff they're trying to cram down our throats now that quote speaks volumes.

I know this torment all too well.

You've expressed yourself very powerfully here - I really felt your words.

Take care,

A tune I've sung at least once. Well written, sadness of lost love.

Ouch.  I know the heartbreak of this.  Well expressed, well written. Great piece.

Thank you all for the incredible comments and support. I apologize for taking so long to reply to all of you, but life has been a bit chaotic lately. Again, thank you for the kind words.
