He comes to me in my dreams,
An image of peace and enlightenment,
With lessons I'm yet to learn,
Together he and I can conquer any incident.

The joy upon seeing him,
My heart literally skips a beat,
After tender greetings,
I take my traditional lotus seat.

But I cannot hear his words!!!
Cannot understand what he wishes to share!
Cannot hear him no matter how hard I try,
I'm left feeling empty and unaware.

Is the path I've chosen wrong?
Am I only deluding myself?
Is he warning me or giving answers?
Is my whole existance only a shadow of my real self?

These dreams meant to be a comfort,
Have only led to further confusion,
Perhaps all he is symbolically saying,
My heart craves a spiritual union?

I cannot find the answers,
No matter how I try,
It is all so damned confusing,
I want to shout, scream or cry.

So tonight when I enter the realm of dreams,
I hope to see my guru again,
And finally I can hear what he's saying,
And cherish my soul's love, my greatest friend.

This is good.  There is a feeling you get when you wake up and feel like you missed something in your dream.  Like there was something you overlooked that was really important and you want to go back to sleep and get back into that dream so you can catch it.  I don't remember seeing anyone put that feeling into words until I read this.

Quite Realistic... That feeling of helplessness, as you know that you've missed something important, and can't go back and get it.... I loved this poem.

JT thankyou!!  I'm glad I related the feeling so well, that you were in sync!

Sea thanks hon, we all have these dreams now and then..

Baroni, thankyou, as long as we get the meaning in the end, due to further dreaming or the thought process, as long as it annoys us no longer....
