Don't you think that if I smiled at you today
I wouldn't need to be this angry?
I look on each day with the anticipation of you
And I suppose I get a little miffed
When your tone isn't always pleasant.
So pardon me for taking it so personally.
Thats they way I am
And when its all over, when the bed is made
I'll remember that you didn't mean it anyway.
Don't you think that I have my own anger?
It trips me every morning
And I spend the day fighting its intrusion.
What happens when  mood takes over permanently?
There is the blink blink blink of a million messages singing
And I am one helpless spot of darkness they are all trying to lift.
Well I don't need a lift.
I just want to sink a little further
See what I can find down here in the crevices of madness.
Why can't I stay here?
I'm getting back in my damn box now.
Just try and stop me.

Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.

Very nice, as usually.

I don't know why but first two lines touched me:
"Don't you think that if I smiled at you today
I wouldn't need to be this angry? "

Congratulations.

you can go in that box. . . just don't forget that there are people on the outside. . .

well done. . . it's a need for us to be alone sometimes. . .

You're words really touched me, but especially those last ones. I've felt like this before. Especially that defiant "just try and stop me"

"Just try and stop me."
I would say this finished it off nicely...James
