Empty promises
Mean empty hands,
Emotional misdemeanours,
No one REALLY understands!

Misunderstood up upon the shelf,
My muse escapes me these days,
Oh my Goddess don't you forsake me as well,
I have nothing if I'm not ensconed within your compassionate ways!

The tightrope is fraying,
With every cunning, hurtful remark,
My sanity straying,
Why is the world so dark?

They pushed me into the quicksand,
And laugh at my useless struggles,
My drowning a pathetic skit,
My failure worth it's weight in gold.

Who holds out their hands,
To offer love and support,
When my very foundations are crumbling?
Why do they laugh and cavort?

I'm empty inside,
My values and beliefs struggle to fill the void,
I have no more pride,
Have I become what people want to avoid?

I'm empty inside,
A lonely constellation in space,
And did you know -
In space no one can hear you scream??????

And did you know -

I hear you screaming. I hope tomorrow's a better day. As they say, it's always darkest before the light. Maybe tomorrow will be a bright, sunny day. After all, it's nearly summer in Australia isn't it?

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Thanks Tracey! Yes we are well into Spring here, in fact we are having a scorcher in Queensland today it's about 97/98 degrees and it's not even Summer yet!
You are right of course things can only get better!!!!!!!!!

Well first up "Emotional misdemeanours" I love that line! Well expressed thoughts you have here. I've experienced the emptiness but eventually I've always found that the void fills with friendship. The screams are heard, take care!

Thanks my friends, just venting, I know the love and friendship I have in my life softens the blow. But sometimes you just gotta vent and be rid of the feelings...
