All of life is your decision, It's all up to you, You can wallow in the mire, Or make things better with everything you do. You can sit in a darkened house, Behind drawn shutters and drapes, You can fear the sun, Like a vampire running to escape. You can wake up in the same place for years on end, Or you can have a brief change of scene, You can be rigid and never bend, Or you can give your corner of the world a clean. Open the windows, pull back the curtains, Instigate a small change of scene, Walk in the early morning and greet the day with enthusiasm, You can change your outlook when you change the scene. I've come to believe in life, It's all in the attitude, You can attract whatever you want, Have a pleasant or dark interlude. I've come to believe that some attract depression, The bad luck comes as though drawn to a magnet, But with a genuine positive attitude, You can break that cycle of regret. *The greatest warrior is one that does not need to fight* ~Isis~ |

Wise words here, Isis. Environment breeds depression as well. But cyclical it is and can be defeated. You have always been so strong, Isis, and your poetry is reflecting that even more lately. Keep raging and growing, dear Poetess. Don't care what people say |

Very well said Isis! I have suffered from depression off and on for most of my life. But it can be beaten, and attitude is everything. And I lie here in bed all alone- I can't mend |

Thankyou all Sven, all we can do is try. Jonas, please don't think I'm knocking CLINICAL DEPRESSION for I realise there is more to it than just an 'attitude'. I'm talking about others who with a 'positive attitude' could make their lives and their loved ones lives a lot happier. Those with the self induced stigma and negative attitudes etc. Just so I'm understood. Elmo, thanks as always hon. My cup is 99% always half FULL!!!! Sonjes, again a warm thankyou.
