adrift
in a sea of nothing
surrounded by spectres
demons of my own making

darkness envelops
echoes
of shadows
call

reaching….
groping
yet finding nothing

suffocating
from too much air

seeing
in the blackness
scares me

I think it's your first post I read.
I found it so beautiful.

Thanks for the read.

Excellent work here my friend, loved the first verse. And yes, I'm glad I didn't find this one first!   You take care!

Eddie, you crept up on me   Thanks for reading my work. You are one of the constants and I appreciate that.

Take care,

Dee~

Here I was 'standing on the shore' ...
and you - 'adrift in a sea'

Are we on the same WAVE of thought ?

You did a nice job on this one, gal~

Didn't you see me waving as I floated past you, Marge?   This was a black mood that is, thankfully, gone for now.
Thanks for reading - another constant I appreciate
Oh and I think the new pic is pretty good too!   Wish I looked like that all the time.

Dee

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Interesting write. kind of reminds me of my "The Blue Ocean" probably different meaning though.

"suffocating
from too much air"

I like that line, very good. Glad the mood is gone
