sometimes whispers

silent whispers

sometimes whispers
   so quietly that the sun
                              moon
                              stars
   often miss the melody
silent dances
  and dreams that echo
                           cascade
                           fall
   into the river and drown
promises linger
   follow the paths that birds
                                 fish
                                 insects
   met on so long ago
songs collide
   dreaming of days
                     weeks
                     years
   that escaped them
sometimes whispers
   so loudly that the rocks
                             rivers
                             trees
   weep in sorrow
flooding hearts
   filling the mind
                 body
                 soul
   with utter anguish
childish laughter
   hopeless wishes of love
                               peace
                               joy
   let out on the tide
plummet from heaven
   like dying words of rain
                               snow
                               stars
   blanketing the earth

Inside the light you lose its edges until pushed
