Slowly peel off my sense of self being,
Glue my feet with fear and stop my fleeing,
Use clever verbal jabs and deflate me;
Flay this sad persons that just wants to be.

Make little of me because I am small,
Ignore me then like I’m nothing at all,
Make your conversation and leave me out,
I'm just a small voice that’s too weak to shout.

Disassemble my tired old spirit,
Flaying me to nothing or close to it
Whip me to any shape you wish to mold,
Then leave me laying there battered and cold.

I looked to you for comfort and went blind,
I wished to understand and I lost my mind.

Gloom

So many can read this and relate. To be reduced to insignificance by others is the deepest wound we can suffer.
