Trapped between four walls,
No door or window to escape,
I am sitting here with you,
we sit and wait,
Smoke fills the room,
I can't see where you are,
I reach out to touch you,
But you have drifted too far,
Someone help us,
Let us out!
We crawl on the floor,
As we scream and shout,
Trying to breath,
But no windows for air,
Smoke fills out lungs,
But nobody cares,
Please let us out I say,
But I guess nobody can hear,
I closed my eyes, and wished myself out,
When I opened them, the smoke had disappeared.

This touched my heart--My cousin never made it out of the smoke & died right before our senior prom (1999) I really miss him & glad this poem doesn't have such a sad ending LOVE ELMO
