Temptress and the Broken Hearted

oh vile temptress
with your serpent tongue
speak no enchanting words to me
for I know you are an evil being
sent to destroy a fragile heart
you who care not who you may hurt
only of your petty indrescretions
you are less a human being
for you have destroyed a man's heart

I watched as it slowly crumbled
holding his shattered remains
the rest, taken by the lonely wind
staring at you with such sorrowed eyes
pleading for answers unknown
"why have you wronged me so?"
"what did I do to deserve such an injustice?"
how can you be such an unscrupulous creature
to hurt a kind man without care or regret

without words or actions
I saw the dagger pierce his fragile being
the dagger you had made for him
I pity your foul demon
for you have shattered the heart of a good man
for reasons I cannot even begin to ponder
one day, you will sow the fruits of your labor
to find yourself cold and alone

for no good and decent man could love you
without fear that his heart will be shattered
I cannot forgive such a vile act
for I know that feeling to well
to find you in the embrace of another man
you have crushed him without word
so foul creature, sleep well knowing this
that the man you cared for
you have lost him forever

Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death.

Even through the anger, for me the heartbreak is apparent. Excellent voicing of the emotions here.
