The scene is set as the deal takes place The need is fed and the money changes hands in the sleazy back streets far away from prying eyes The "lion" is the king of the drug jungle and the "prey" is trapped in an unreal world where life means so little and the next fix could mean "survival" or death A rollercoaster ride that never ends only picking up speed throughout its journey of destruction Dimly lit back alleys and side streets are where the deals are done and lives are lost The "lion" walks away victorious a he greedily counts his dirty money The "prey" slinks away into the shadows like a vampire scared of the light Alone he sits in the doorway of an old disused warehouse where he pulls up his sleeve to reveal a multitude of needlemarks Another mark will now be added to the tally but will this be the final hit? Will he die alone in this God-foresaken place void of companionship void of love void of hope void of education void of a normal life? Suetang |
