I cry silent tears In this prison without bars or stone For guilt has sentenced me to life For sins I cannot atone The love I hold for her is true As her love she holds for me But I have done her many an injustice I am blind to each evil deed She may say that it is alright And everything is good But I can tell she hates me For not loving like I should I slowly suffer my punishment This dark and lonely jail I have only sinned against her love Hurting her without fail I do not wish to see her cry Or see her angered expression For what I did without knowledge Oh lord I wish for redemption Oh guilt and sorrow my lowly jailers Please give me my parole I see the error of my ways Don't let heartache take its toll Let me go, to return to her I promise to be good To love and cherish her always Like any lover should I did not mean to hurt her so Or to even make her cry Please let her love me again For without her I fear I'd die Staring into the abyss Hoping her wounds may heal And praying she may one day see The guilt and sorrow that I feel So here I sit, cold and alone In these solitary confines I sit and pray for her forgiveness Now all I have is time Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death. |

Unfortunately no one teaches us how we should love, we have to try to figure it out for ourselves. But time heals and a good heart will show forgiveness. This was such a wonderful outpouring of your emotions to the one you love. I hope you are able to show it to her. Take care......Sue Suetang |
