How much more
Can this man take
Before I see
My spirit break
With no more tears
Now left to cry
I only wish
That I would die

My life is but a punishment
For crimes I don't commit
When will the sentence be complete
So this life I can quit
Never's when that day will be
That fact it is so clear
The darkness will not set me free
And that is what I fear

But I'll survive
I always do
I may not thrive
I may be blue
Days filled with pain
And so much strife
It's just a curse
Upon my life

So I will simply carry on
Within this world I hate
For you see my love is gone
And that has sealed my fate
My heart is cold my mind is blank
And no soul lives in me
But I'm the one that I should thank
For this cursed destiny

G. A. Webb

Regret not that which you have done,
Rather that which you haven't

I liked this one G.A. The rhymes were nice, and the flow was good. I can relate to this poem...my life felt this way before I met Jess.

Of all the things that I confess,
Here's one that is doubtless
I will love you always Jess
Never think I could love you less

Throughout my life ( so far )  I have read many poems that I can relate to.  So many times I could remember feeling the way they wrote about.  Some have made me laugh, some even made me mad!  But when I read this poem, it was almost like I was reading my own thoughts at this very minute.   Inwhich made me cry.    Sometimes I sit and wonder what I have done in my 30 years that was so bad, that I must sit alone throughout my years.  Just like you wrote about, being blamed for a crime I didnt commit.  I feel I am a very good person....... loving, caring, honest and hey I dont even have to wear a bag over my head when I go in public!!  Yet here I sit and share my most private thoughts (poetry) with all of you.   I have so many *why* questions for somebody... anybody.... yet I never get answers.  Hmmmm Life... its a very strange thing to overcome.

Thank you all so much. I'm glad you liked this piece, although I am a bit surprized. I was in a really really bad mood when I spit this out, in all of 15 minutes...lol!
Anyways, thank you all again and take care.
