Just like I figured,
Just like any other day,
I woke up,
I wondered why?
You told me you would change your ways,
You didn't have the money,
Except when it came down to your beer,
You act like you can't live without it,
You don't want to listen, you don't want to hear,
To me it is an addiction,
One that will never go away,
I guess you will continue to drown yourself with that crap,
Keep on doing it everyday,
You keep saying that you are trying so hard,
But that is way too hard for me to believe,
Because you always reach for another one,
I guess you think its a relief?
Well its not and will never be,
You need to get that through your mind,
You need to get yourself together,
Yourself you need to find,
This craziness cannot go on much longer,
Cause I cannot handle being here,
I always worry about you and if your ok,
I constantly live in fear,
I try everyday to stop worrying about this problem, this somewhat disease that has stolen you from me,
It keeps getting worse and worse, like wildfire,
Will you stop for my sake, PLEASE?
I have begged and begged,
I have asked you real nice,
All I want is for you to stop before its to late,
But I know its too late, and your out of control,
I guess I will just sit here, and the when the day comes that you stop I will be here to wait.

I think one of the hardest things to do is watch someone you love suffer from an addiction of some sort ...  you're powerless, you sit back and watch, and hope, and pray that they will conquer the addiction... but ultimately the decision, and the will to stop lies in their hands and all you can offer is your support and hope they conquer the beast ... well written

I to know the pain of losing someone to the big disease.  They are always looking for life's answers at the bottom of the bottle.  You must remember to not allow yourself to be sucked into their abyss.  It is their addiction, not yours.  Do not let this person become your addiction or you to will become a poem.  Keep the faith...
