Sometimes no one really knows why, But deep within a piece of us dies, All alone late at night we cry, Hoping that the pain will somehow subside, We all have to find that place deep within, Where there’s no beginning and there is no end, A place where we cant be found and we are no longer afraid, To face tomorrow when it brings a new day, Life flows like a river bends, No matter how hard you try you can’t see where it ends, You have to go forward to know this isn’t the end, Give your heart to God and let your worries transcend, Tears bounce around inside making their presence known, You try to speak out but all that comes is a moan, Like a rushing river flowing down a steep mountainside, Life catches you and drags you, there’s no way to hide, Hold on to the past to keep the good memories alive, I know it gets heavy, but you’ve gotta try, Don’t ever give up, you’ve got to push on, Take a deeper breath with every new dawn, Somehow in someway, I promise you a better day, Lord knows life has its prices to pay, But deep inside you’ll find a way. |
