I made all the wrong choices,
You influenced them all,
But it wasn't you fault,
You never got to choose,

Your mom handed you your life,
In a little baggie,
With a candel and a teaspoon,
If you were lucky a clean needle,

Then one night she decided,
That your time had run out,
And along with yours so had mine,
But she didnt care who went with you,

She never loved you,
My family never loved me,
She gave us what little love we could find,
But it came with track marks,

Next thing I knew I was staring at white walls,
Wondering where you were,
All our friends were there and you weren't,
Because you wouldnt be coming back,

I have never cried like that,
I have never been so alone,
I have never been so totally lost,
I have never needed you more,

So after 2 years i had erased everything that reminded me of you,
I gave up bad habits,
I visited your grave,
And i missed you more each day,

I waited and waited,
For her to get hers,
for 3 years i have waited,
Only to find out she didnt,

My life is still in pieces,
My heart has a big hole,
My viens have collapsed,
And you are gone,

What did she get?
15 years,
15 years for taking you away
15 years for taking away the only person i could trust,

Oh my gosh, what a heart breaking poem. that was so sad. but it was so well written!

Thanx, it wasn't one of my best, but last night i found out my friends mom only got 15 yrs and it was just so hard for me so i was venting

May not seem like enough time but it is a move in the right direction...she will be forced to make changes that she wouldn't have made on her own...James
