Going To Hell When Love Fails

Those were very intense times way back then and I am talking of quite a while ago.
Yet I sometimes remember the bad stuff as if it all happened last week or so.
Just the major emotions that this life indiscriminately imposes.
Feelings of emptiness and broken hearts and bruised roses.
I suppose the greatest lesson is the constant barrage of pain and loneliness you find yourself wallowing in just as soon as the reality of the divorce sets in.
Of course it doesn't get much better when the desperation begins.
Obviously I deserved the punishment thrust upon me.
Sorrow remains a necessary part of life to mellow out uncompromising personalities.
Thus is my conclusion following several years of inner reflectiion.
There appears to be no other logical explanation.
I can only thank God that he doesn't require absolute perfection.
