Give him...

Give me my love.  Give him your wings–
his feathers are ragged, limp–
yours stand firm under air and time and space–
a space that keeps him from me,
though you have given him wings whole
and new and white
and he knows where to fly.
Give him your eyes, so that he might fly
straight
and reach me with quick shuffles and flutters.
And after you have done this, give him your heart,
so that he might love me–
for his is dry and full of small, many-legged things.
And when you are done, hobble home
and be happy that I have my love.

Kill me later - I deserve it - but for now just smile. (LJ Smith)

Ohh..I like this...many legged things..the gothic imagery in this is great.
