It was all a dream

It was like a fantasy,
A fairy tale,
A dream come true,

A moment I waited forever for,
It was all to good to be true,
I dreamed of this moment all my life,

I loved you more than anyone or anything,
I knew we would always be together,
I knew we would never be apart,

Always hand in hand,
We would never fall out of love,
The times we will share,

The love we will have,
We will never fall apart,
Our love is much to strong,

I have awaken,
In hopes I will find you lying next to me,
But I have awoke,

And it was all a dream....

Yes, I often have dreams like that, of someone, loved or once loved, now gone. And then I wake up. It's a terrible kind of sadness that's hard to convey. Good work.
