To live without risk
Is not living at all
You must take a chance
Although you may fall
For walking the safe road
And not on the ball
Leads only one place
To a spirit so small
So do tread on boldly
I'm telling you all
Conquer your fears
And knock down the wall
But you must move quickly
And try not to stall
For life it slips fast
Towards your last call
And when it's all over
You can stand tall
Confident in knowing
That you did it all
You've passed all the tests
Both great and the small
Living the adventure
Of destiny's call
For living without risk
Isn't living at all

Regret not that which you have done,
Rather that which you haven't

You raise some interesting thoughts, some of which would make for good debate.   Well done, as always!

GA Webb,
This is an excellent poem, but if you want to tighten it a little here are a few suggestions.
Strictly spelling or grammer corrections of course.
Did you mean concur (to agree) in the 11th line or were you wanting to put conquer (to overcome). It's just that if you meant the first you also need a 'with' to make sense of it.
in the 21st line you wrote you've past the test it should be you've passed the test and I would take out all in the same line. Other than that it's a great poem and I like the message too.
Write on

we all need reminding of this piece of wisdom now and then.

enjoyed your words.

Rebelious: Why thank you so much. I’m glad that you enjoy my writing. I don’t know how much one can learn from me, but I’ll do my best. Thanks again!

EagleOne: Thank you sir, I’m glad you liked it as well. And for the record, I enjoy reading your pieces as well.

Kethry: Thank you for catching my mistakes. I suppose I should proof read better in the future before posting. But you knew what I was meaning even though the spell checker didn’t catch it. I had the words in mind that you suggested originally but in my haste whilst writing this piece I overlooked the fact that I had put in the wrong words. I think it’s much better now. Thanks again for catching those mistakes!

ShUgArHiGhx & LadyPeach1: Thank you both for your kind remarks. I’m glad you liked this piece.

Brian madden: I agree, we all need reminding from time to time. Too many people take the easy way and don’t realize that they are missing out on a hold world of adventure just because they are too afraid or are too comfortable in their situations to take a risk. To win it all one must be willing to risk it all even though you might loose. And even in loss one still wins to some extent because of the knowledge that was gained from having taken the risk in the first place. Dose that make since? Well, it dose to me. Thanks again!
