i dust my feet from the dirt of contentment.
i walk without the burden of happiness
and yet with the flavor of the scream,
my mouth is full, agony gags me.
There is no in-between

i am free from discontent and gloom.
The scent of decay is absent
and yet i see happiness through glass,
there is a barrier that seperates us.
For there is no in-between.

i may drown in open air,
i may go thirsty in a sea.
Could i die in perfect health?
Could i live through death?
It doesn't matter,there is no in-between.

Just a comment: I find that most times,
Poetry should not have a explanatory preamble in prose.

Now about the poetry,
I liked it, shows great promise
With some particularly good images.

About the concept,
Like is all just an in-between.
No matter how we strive for absolutes.

"and yet i see happiness through glass,
there is a barrier that separates us.
For there is no in-between."
Very true words, Sammi.
One must need, or feel, with the passion to break through.
Watching through the glass is but an "in between".
Thanks, Billy
