When the Heart Falls Oh, Night that engulfs this home Oh, darkness that invades this heart Stealing and choking I can’t let go. Perhaps the morning may offer me A place of serenity Perhaps the morning may console me From my misery. Oh, Love whose eyes are blinded Oh, lover whose lips are ice Stinging and hurting I can’t let go. Perhaps the memories will heal me A place of forgetfulness Perhaps the memories will fool me Into a place of bliss. Oh, Heart whose wings have broken Oh, Heart whose pride is gone Tearing and despairing Yet, I can’t let go. Perhaps the morning will hold memories A place of serenity Perhaps the memories will hold morning Dawning my misery. Great work as always. The words you use here are quite painful. Keep it up though. Ronil (One becomes god only when they have fully understood the role of being a human being.) |

Perhaps the morning will hold memories A place of serenity Perhaps the memories will hold morning Dawning my misery. Loved the writing especially the way you ended it ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

when the heart falls all we can do is think back on the good memories, Though the heart aches day after day eventually the ache is at least calmed to a lull. I enjoyed this poem |

Thank you all for your kind words. As a poet, I strive to release my own emotions into my writing, as healing and as a way to share with those who may feel the same. To read so much warmth and understanding from readers of my poetry makes me feel alive, human, and stronger. Thank you all, again. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. |

"Oh love whose eyes are blinded. Oh lover whose lips are ice. Stinging and hurting. I can't let go." Such a vivid description...James |
