hiding in A Dark Room

You open doors,
and i close them.
Once in awhile i peek my head out to see if your still there.

Inside my room is dark.
I sit there alone and feel i need noone, no love.
I never needed it before. So Can i leave you today?
No, i never want to. but i let you think otherwise almost everyday.
How should i show my love to you? i have not a clue. i just give up,
and go back to feeling blue.

I close more doors than i open, but i hope you will stay. because i
never leave the door closed forever. One day i will let the door open,
and together we can play. and my loneliness will forever go away..

(this is my first poem since i just got into poetry.)

''The words you say never seem to live up to the ones inside your head.'' Chris Cornell

To me it seems that the speaker seems afariad of being ina a realtionship and wants the other person to be patience. IF I am reading wrong, forgive me and Welcome to Passions.
