oh the way she holds me tight in accordance with the intentions of the mind
griping my bare weak body with her cold hands
the bony hands which trap the stark remains of a depleted soul

a decision made by the conscious thought and shunned by heart
the choice to know what lies beyond my capacity
making the wrong decision when fully aware of the right one clearly drawn before blind eyes

my mind not once taking heed to all the lost faces in the crowd who beg me to spare myself
i yet again make the wrong decision
i grasp the innocence which is now being portrayed just beyond the thin layer of the fruit she holds before me

the taste of the world and all her pleasure just beyond that first layer of delicate sin which taunts the driving need for satisfaction
i turn my eyes from the things i hold close and devour the fruit of eden

i am not the first and others will follow
and my debt to her is paid by the pain i suffer which comes as a direct result of her wisdom which is so graciously given to me

i take upon myself to willingly perform the sins that lead to the gradual extinction of my innocence
all for the glance of the sacred flesh of temptation that lines the fruit whose taste i can never remember, and that of which i ask for in a greedy fit of redundancy
the gaze i cast upon it is a selfish one full of lust

and the fire that tends to burn within me assures me once more at the arrival of a new day
that it is my right to forsake everything and exchange it all for nothing
1000 steps forward
with no way to go back home

Great work.

I found the following line interesting.

i grasp the innocence which is now being portrayed just beyond the thin layer of the fruit she holds before me
Again, great work.
