I need the hallowed sanctuary,
Of myself and my soul,
Need the privacy to reassess,
And gain control.

It's my time,
I've more than earned it,
My time to be in the sun,
My time for some fun.

I need some time to myself,
Perhaps a little time away,
Where I don't have to work,
Cook or clean, no dues to pay.

I need time and space to look within,
Assess, recharge and get back in touch,
Yet I'm made to feel so undeserving,
You don't deserve such pleasures and such.

Well I do!
I've more than earned such rewards,
For I live as I believe,
Unlike so many others I'm not ruled by the sword.

I need my physical sanctuary,
Time for me and me alone,
To rediscover the person within,
To laugh and to atone..

Good thinking Isis,
we all need time alone to give our lives balance.

We all need that sanctuary, though I like to believe it is reachable.

this was great... something I have never quite gotten down though always telling myself that I deserve time for myself... to just be... but when I do get the time I feel so guilty... Hope you find your sanctuary

It is within you. . . and you know that. . .

wonderful from you. . .

Wish I could reach that place too some days.
Today is one, and you have my sympathy.
Just keep reachin' further & further though.
Thanks, this was a good read I needed again, Isis.

Once again Isis I'm moved by your words.  Keep looking it's there.

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."
