Surfacing of the old wounds,
Brings back the memories,

It was then that I chose-
To leave,

My reputation was stained,
However, I would survive,

Shunned by society,
Whom once I consider friends,

My mind set to exile,
Left behind is a desolated soul.

Amazing poem, very deep and meaningful.  You sound very realted to the poem and I'm sure its very easy for other people to relate to too!!  I know I did!  You are an excellent poet! Just 1 thing, should "whom I once consider friends" be "Whom I once considerED to be friends? Maybe not I am sorry if you are offended or if it is deliberate!
