I woke up at times
in the middle of the night
with a hole in my heart
and a brewing madness
killing my soul

You have no idea
what you did to me
You destroyed me
and then you left
so you didn't have to
clean up your own mess
How could you?
To someone you said
was your light...
how dare you?

I layed on the floor
in the afternoon
crying so hard
I couldn't see
and I couldn't believe
the pain I felt
I wanted to die
I was ready to die
All because of you
You said I was your savior,
and this is how you repay me?

I would kill for you
I would lie for you
I would steal for you
I would die for you
But it just wasn't enough,
now was it?
You wanted her instead
But she'll leave you
I know she will

Nobody will ever love you
more than I do
Nobody will ever support you
more than I do
Nobody will ever listen
and understand you
better than me
Do you want me?
Can you reach me?
Of course not
You're too busy crying
as if you had no part in it
As if you never struck the blow

I tore out my heart
and gave it to you
I released my soul
and gave it to you
I gave you everything
and you destroyed it all
You burned it up
and then walked away

You should have just literally murdered me
It would have been a hell of a lot less
painful

I had a dream once that I could fly and I laughed at everyone and kicked them in the back of the head because they couldn't fly too.

Holy Jebus... can you say "back from the dead"? Thanks though. Appreciate it.

Cheer up. It could be worse. You could be a lima bean. And I could be eating you.

Great write here, Dark.
I'm pondering a statement a colleague made once.
"Pain is a perception, so if you don't feel it, you don't know it's there".

Sounds sorta dumb at first, but just think about it for a bit?

Nice quote; however, I posted this a long time ago and I don't give a damn about the feelings I used to have. I'm glad you enjoyed the poem though.

Cheer up. It could be worse. You could be a lima bean. And I could be eating you.

Then I must safely assume you're not still wanting to be murdered? lol
Not that I'm a serial killer or anything.

I also liked the piece before, as I recall.

No, not wanting to be murdered.

Thanks.
