The true mischief that lurks beyond the shadowed Path
Is the constant reminder of a life long past
As fate claims her victims and the songs of unjust Mouths sing on
I will continue my narrow path
And sing my song

The embrace of the wind
The sad times retraced
The way the perspective seems to bend
The beauty that we wait for in the end
But I find myself fearing it again

I turn to the cross and it fell to pieces
On my trotting horse I ride above it
It rots beneath us
Further i press on in the warm welcoming cold
Further i press on all the stories untold

Exquisite beauty of a moon lit wood
The sharp wind blows
And further on I go
My only map is in my mind
For i have no place to go
But what ever I seek
I will find it in the moons glow

The shadows dance to the song of the wind
The leaves gently whisper the chorus
And the branches will bend
No longer an element out of place
I am where I belong
I have found a new faith

I glance to the sky above to see the cloud cover
The black that is black the grey which is grey and The white which is white
Awakened from my slumber
I continue on my path
In a melancholy depression I press on
Its all so clear to me
This is where I belong

Beautiful poem, Paul. Very dark, open, and real. 'Bout time I see one of your poems again.

wonderful! Great story line fitting nicely in poetic form. Loved it from beginning to end.

No man's land. I've been there.
I loved what you did with these lines.

My only map is in my mind
For i have no place to go
                But what ever I seek
I will find it in the moons glow

Write on

Paul,
I really enjoyed this poem, its very philosophical and thats what makes it good you can depict several different meanings from just one line!

Truly appreciative
