Haven
Mind bend
Broken trend
Send.
Eyes
Heavy
Stubbornly though awake,
Because one more hour
And maybe
*poof*
I'll disappear
Shadowed
Covered
Smothered
Gasp of air only long enough for lessons learned.
Still love
Sound insane
Metal cold yet warm
Taste dry
How far can I go
How sink can I slow?
Frigidly warm
Testing and guiding
Hope remains
What after hope is gone?
After said is said
And done is done
And I'm no longer needed.
Slow
How slow can I sink
Heavy
Heavier
Plunging
Still holding my breath in fight,
But in the end
The pain wins
Yet I'll still be here
Even if an end
Its just because
I can't go back on my word,
And I can't just throw the switch.
Pain wins this round
And I'm gearing up for round two
Beginning with a punch in the gut.
But hey...I still love
Although I'm insane for it
And it hasn't got much return policy

We're sorry..this heart has been d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d. Should you like to hold the line we'll be glad to reconnect you..

you still love. . . and that's all that matters. . .

sad, yet powerful. . .

Great style, and format.  I like the rhyme scheme in the beginning.  Great poem...
