Too far into the darkness, sir?
I beg you explain this solemn stir.
Of wandering moments treasured now,
I'll sit here in shadows to darkness bow.
Rendered helpless to this lust,
Of lightless moments fulfilled a must.
You see this light in these eyes,
Quickly shadows within disguised.
For moments quicker stealing breath,
I'd aid my thoughts to quicken death.
A sorrow sown a sorrow lost,
Matters not my heart the cost.
Of true love and worth I cannot sing,
Because thesedays I loathe this ring.
Treasured moments were to me bestowed
Although I ache to ease this flow.
You see I'm wrong not wronged this time,
In life, this game, committed my crime.
Pleasures of love from another sought,
Yet not a hint of regret has this brought.
So judge me now all if you would,
But spoken true I feel I could,
Demand of myself to be further known,
Although to deeper depths I'm thrown.
So what is another day I ask,
Of being consumed by the darkness grasp.
By day it happens that I may be sober,
By night my strength begins its over.
What is another dance with night,
One speaks of truth and love with fright?
For me one more lift of the glass,
Then splendid Darkness holds me fast.
Suckled, swallowed, enfolded warm,
Within Dark's grasp I'm love reborn.
So I'll take the bitterness of this drink,
For intoxication makes me think,
Of what the Darkness really holds,
While me,within its clutches, enfolds.

In the worst of times, let me drift beneath the cloak of Oblivion. I favor the night as it favors me.
