What kind of world are we headed for?
What does the FUTURE hold in store?
A world where we all shout and scream
Where coperation is just a dream
Making demands that can't be met
Tearing up the world so we can get
Every little thing WE WANT...

All ends now justify the means it seems
And we don't give a [edit] WHAT ugly scenes
it takes to satisfy our dreams...

We're ALL Capitalists now
Turning the Earth to an ugly sow
To build our own nasty little hoard
Fighting those who get in our road

How do you like it now we've won?
We beat the Commies - forever gone
Corrupt they were but still gave hope
That being 'good' wasn't being a dope

Now we ALL have strong sharp teeth
Expert at hiding what lies beneath
With ready claws to slash and maim
In training for the new world game

Lush green jungles are all but gone
WE need so much now we've been born
We've built a NEW jungle here today
Where you watch your back and never PLAY

Where business is all and all are enemy
Where a smile hides hate and fear and envy

What kind of world are we headed for?
Trading help and kindness but as a whore
Amerika! The model that always gets sold
Exported worldwide in the name of gold...

Drive the sheep in and get them spending
This living nightmare is neverending
Sell them all your sad lonely dream
That all you'll ever need is GREEN
Cold Dollars, Pounds & Yen

And then...?

A WaR between you and me to get on top
Screwing anyone to reap more green crop
Betrayal, envy, ambition and greed
These are the emotions on which we feed
On the golden path to ruin

We're ALL Capitalists now...

Very powerful words and thoughts here. This is quite overwhelming. Kind of caught me by surprise. I liked it though, very nice.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

This is so brilliant I wish I'd written it...

Don't worry, we're NOT all capitalist slobs out there; remember, what goes around comes around, ok? We must never lose hope. Great poem - really captured that feeling I also share.
P.S. The capitalists only think they've won - they're too stupid and petty to know any better
