"One Too Many"

I remember the guys
Chanting chug, chug
Chug and the next
Morning that toilet
I sure did hug

My eyes were glassy
My head hazy
I said to myself man
I must be crazy

The taste of the alchol
Brings back the memories
Of your death, they seem
Not to want to leave my
Head, I wonder was it
Something I said to bring
You to the end

One of the guys came in
And sat on the couch
And said one too many
My friend, But, I didn't
Care I was in total despair

I knew he was right
I'm sure I looked a sight
We had drank all night
And when I woke up to the
Light, my head hurt so bad
I was sure I'd been in a
Fight, and then I rememebered
You died

Lisa-

powerful poem sug. many things remind me
of her death too but hey--we always
have the memories sweetie...and she will
always live in our hearts. never forget
we have an Angel above watching over us.

Dark Angel:

Thanks for reading. I'm glad that I didn't have it spelled our right away what was going to happen. Suspense is always good I think. Take care.

Amy:

Hey! Thanks for reading and responding to my poem. However, this poem was not about mom. Not about anyone really, it's just a poem. But what you said is true and for that I am forever grateful!
