The soft wispy clouds
That hang in the air
Bring me amazement
As I sit and stare
At all of the colors
In their countless hues
To describe now this beauty
No words can one use

But describe it I will
Or at least take a chance
To share with you now
All the beauty I glance
While sitting alone
I watch the light dance
Through all of the clouds
As I'm put in a trance

Awe struck by colors
All caught in my eyes
I make it my duty
To tell you no lies
I thank the great heavens
For this wonderful prize
That gives my soul peace
As I watch the sunrise

Nice mood in this one, very vividly.
And I agree.

Vivid beauty, therefore a vivid emotion...
Poetic beauty Mr. Webb, wonderful!

Thank you all so much, I'm glad you liked this. I don't usually write observational poems (I only have a couple that I've done), but I couldn't help myself when I saw the sunrise the other day. Too bad you guys couldn't have been here to see it because it was simply breath taking. Anyways, thanks again!

Such simplicity ... and yet you wielded it with such poetic elegance ...
Beautiful ...

I think you have made little miracles of life like these even more so wonderful.

Very very nicely written.

Kerri S, MiseryDivine & Verve: Thank you all so much. It truely warms my heart to know that you like my work. It's funny really, I didn't see this as being one of my better pieces, just an interesting one. I guess I was wrong...lol...oh well! :-) Thanks again!
