A single tear shed
rolling gently down my face
gives sign of sorrow
for myself and for a girl
a diamond in the rough; a pearl
of my time she did only borrow
yet knowing all I know now
I would not change all I did
if given the chance
I would still treat her well
I would still try and tell
her the meaning of true romance
of what it means to care
I hope someday it's understood
but between us it had to end
knowing it wasn't meant to be
for your heart belongs only to he
and me with a broken heart to mend

Life and Romance can be hard sometimes. This one though might take awhile...

Lovely poem, I can very much relate to it, though I see to be on the other end! I know she'll take a while to get over but don't worry it'll get easier and easier as each day passes, I'm glad yo wrote this to get your feelings out!
