As I hear the howling wind
It makes me think of how I've sinned
How I've worked and how I've toiled
And all the lives that I have spoiled
The countless journeys I've been through
And all the days spent without you

The biting breeze that stings my face
Is all I have now to replace
The touch of your soft hand in mine
As our lives did intertwine
Memories now though they all be
Still hold special meanings for me

On this day I bid you well
As I step back into hell
I bid you joy and happy things
With gifts all born on angle wings
From you I grab a ray of dawn
As my road now leads me on

(Happy birthday Lynn)

Aw ... this is so sweet ... yet poignant.
Nice work once again.

Sad one hon... I too have also honoured past loves on their birthdays, and I can't help but wonder, do they honour us on ours??? Probably not! And that is probably part of the reason why we are not with them today...
*hugs* of sympathy hon..

Verve: "Poignant"...that's a good word to describe this one, thanks!

Isis: I don't know how much of an honor this piece is, it's just something that came to mind on a certian someone's birthday. In all fairness, she was one of the few that actually remembered my birthday and she did something very nice which, believe it or not, honored me. I guess you could say that this is my way of showing her that I don't hate her. Her and I are still friends, despite our sorted past and that's cool. Anyways, thanks, see ya!
