I look into your eyes,
I see you, and I see me.
When I see you smile,
your everything a woman should be.

So sweet and so caring,
you make me wanna scream.
Been looking all my life
to fullfil a crazy dream.

I know about your past,
ours are both the same.
Nothing but heartache
but our future feels the pain.

When you ask me what was wrong,
and if I'll be ok.
I was caught off guard,
didn't know what to say.

If only I could tell you,
the dreams in my head.
If only I could say,
what it was I wish I said.

Sometimes I get depressed
and sick of little games.
No matter who I meet
outcome is all the same.

Why do you have this hold,
over my thoughts and my dreams?
Since we are just friends,
it scares the hell out of me.

I have never been this way,
over someone I can't have.
But every since we met
something clicked that never had.

I don't want to scare you
and make you afraid of me.
I'd love to be your friend
if that's what you want to be.

Thanks for your concern,
it means alot to me.
Maybe someday I will figure out
what is meant to be....

A great poem, one which most males on this planet can probably relate to. Sometimes being close to what you want can be both exhilerating and terrifying. The fear of revealing ones feelings to a friend is far more terrifying than with a stranger for the potential loss is far greater. I've been in your position and made the gamble. The end result has been the most wonderful moments of my life and the most heartbreaking moments of my life, but those moments alone make my life all the more worth living for.

Hmmmm looks like my last post got lost somewhere so I'll try once more -
A great poem, one which tells of pains which most people in the world have had to endure. Being so infinitely close to everything you desire can be both exhileration and terrifying. The risk of revealing your feelings to the one you hold so dear can bring with it a fear of losing the friendship. I have been in the situation but once my friend, and took the gamble. The result has without a doubt given me the most wonderful moments of my life and also the most heartbreaking. But it is these moments alone which define who we are and how we have lived. I'll leave you with a quote:

"Courage isn't not being afraid, but rather it is being absolutely terrified and yet doing what you have to do anyway"

Thanks everyone for your replies, I wrote this one night when I couldn't sleep. This is how I get things off my mind. She really is special but I don't think it will happen. She's been recently heartbroken. I know what that is like, it takes a very long time. Wish me Luck!!! I'll need it
