hi, yeah i know dark passions is for poetry only but i would like to say a few things and i would be really thankful if passions would please not delete this. anyway, thank you all for being so nice to me and trying to help me out, temp, songbird, everyone. it is really nice of you all. understand that i will never kill myself--don't worry, i am on too many pills for that. but yeah, my life really is the way it seems in my poetry. and i do know that eventually it will all go away and i will leave. but it is really hard to deal with. poetry is my way of venting and talking aboout my issues because i just can't come out and say how things are. but at any rate. thank you all for trying and for taking the time to notice and try to help. it is very nice of you all and i have never in my life felt the way you all made me feel the last few days. i feel like people actually care, that is new for me. thank you. i will always remember you guys, even if i don't really know you, you have made me feel at home and like i belong some where. I just wish my real life was filled with this much kindness and exceptance. thank you all so much. and you guys really do make a difference in my life. that is why i post my poems here, because the way some one can always understand me and i dont have to feel alone and left out here on passions. thank you all. -Gin  "I'll build a wall if we can keep them on the other side"---NIN "There is no always forever, just this"-the cure |

Ginners,Glad to hear that you would NEVER hurt yourself, it isn't worth it....Poetry is a way of letting out my feelings as well, and i feel alot better after i do write, but know we are hear if you ever need us and that you are NEVER alone in the problems that you face, things do get better*S* Keep your chin up! After a lot of debate in the Moderator's forum, it's been decided this thread - which is essentially a Discussion thread in a Poetry forum - will be one of those rare times we make an exception. There were a lot of reasons for that decision and it probably won't happen very often. At Passions, we generally feel that people who go into a Poetry forum expect to find poetry, and we kinda like to keep it that way. We have a lot of Discussion forums and everyone is invited to use them. This post, however, raises a number of issues that are perhaps unique to the Dark Forum. Gin, I'm very glad - more glad than you can know - you have found a group of people who can give you some support. I'm also glad you've discovered the very powerful expression available to all of us through poetry. I suspect you'll find many, many people here who will agree that writing about your troubles can be a great help. There have been many times in my fifty years when, without my writing, I would have been lost. I suspect there will be many more such times to come. But it's very, very, very important to always remember that - while support from other people and our writing can both help us to feel a lot better - neither support nor writing really solves any of our problems. They can help, but they are not enough. If you break your leg, a shot of morphine may take away the pain, but only having the leg properly set will keep you from being crippled the rest of your life. The pain killer can actually be a bad thing if it encourages someone not to get proper medical treatment. Someone who is in pain, whether that pain is physical or emotional, needs a pain killer much less than they need help treating the cause of the pain. Gin, your post makes it clear you are trying to get the proper medical help, and I salute you for that. I know it won't be easy. Treating emotional pain is a whole lot more complicated than setting a leg. Every person is different, and that means every treatment has to be different - and it can be incredibly frustrating waiting for a doctor to come up with the right combination for you. Hang in there. When your doctor DOES come up with the right treatment for you, you'll be glad you persevered. In the meantime, I'm glad Passions and the people who are here can help with the pain. And I will trust to your wisdom to never allow that help to become a substitute for what is really needed. |

Ginners you are in my prayers. I am glad you are able to express yourself in Dark Passions, for I believe that there are alot of concerned people who can become your family of friends. I agree with Ron and everthing he said. I wish you love and healing. |

Ginners I agree with all of the above. So happy you have found a haven and friends here in dark to help you battle your demons. I'd like to add my name to the list by saying you can email me anytime you need to talk or vent etc. I can see your trying and you will succeed if you keep going about things as you are now... and in the interim we in Dark are all here for you... *hugs* Isis *War produces one thing - Cemetaries. Hiya sweetheart..  I didn't read your poem but in trying to find my way around PIP again, I came across this post and was struck by your wording.. It's always better to put voice to your feelings rather than let them fester and by and large people can only help once they know the problem, might even just be a case of you need a hug..everything is relative. I guess I'm a believer that one should be in touch with how they feel and should be comfortable enough to share it, in doing so, you get another perspective and that can often change dark into light...but Ron is spot on...each pain needs careful examination and it's own remedy...again the trick is, to know where the pain is and seek the right solution, not always possible but it's part of life's may different pathways and the way in which we choose which one to follow. Ya, this place is great huh...I know exactly what you're talking about. Sometimes I think I've lost my mind with all the things that pop into my head and that I write down. But here nobody will put you down for your thoughts or make fun of them. I too feel a since of belonging that I haven't felt anywhere else. That's why I post all my pieces here weather they be light or dark. I feel that any poet who writes dark poetry has been in many a funk in their time and understands so much. Poetry is a wonderful outlet, it lets us express ourselves without being afraid. We can explore our deeper, inner most feelings and face them, make others face them, or just recognize them. But, as was mentioned, it doesn't solve anything. Have power to heal, by mind and heart, not pill and pen. We can all be a big ear, ready to listen. Use that and explore who you are and understand that life hands some of us less desirable cards, but we have the choice of how to play them. I just wanted to say welcome to Dark Passions #3. When I first came here I too posted a poem and the replies really did make a difference and I wrote a poem about the room and posted it.....even developed a few email friends out of the deal...another plus....continue to write when something stays in your mind....and post them... looking forward to more |

Gin- in case you don't get the note I sent you on bolt, you were one of the best friends I ever had and I miss having you here. I know there have been a lot of things said about you, I have certainly heard a lot, but I want you to know that I will ALWAYS be here for you, if you need to talk, or a shoulder to cry on or if ytou just need to vent to someone I'll be there whenever you need me. I just want to make sure that you know that. I love you, you were one of my closeswt friends one that could relate to me one that could talk to me and understand everything I miss you Gin.
