Today was the day, When love Filtered through the air Bringing sweet sents of roses And All the tears people would Share I couldn't help feeling Lost and alone, today of all Days i felt it beyond control Not having you here was hard on My heart, couldn't stop thinking Of you, and how we are apart When love blessed many on this Blissful day, Saddness and loneliness Surrounded me instead I slept and dreamed that life was beauty was thy dream then a shadowy lie? -ESH- |

Valentine's Day isn't the only day of the year for love. There should be love in our lives everyday. And it doesn't necessarily have to come from a partner. The love of a friend, family member, or even a pet is better than none. My V.Day was no picnic either, I think the secret is to make the day special for yourself, instead of waiting or wanting someone else to do it. My girlfriend (who is partnerless) and I got together and we had our Valentine's day doing something special to celebrate the love we have in our friendship. We dared to do something, neither of us thought we were capable of. Now each year on V.Day we can celebrate our friendship and the special almost tribal rite we shared on Feb. 14, 2001.
