The cloak of darkness encloses me
Veiled in whispers
Soft and serene.
Eyes open within the dark
Are like eyes closed throughout the day.
Nothing to see.
Nothing to fear.
Nothing but silence.
Here my heart beats in rythm
To the slow pulse of night.
I am welcome among spectres.
As the midnight hour chimes
It is a signal
For the sleeping memories to rise.
Shadows move upon shadows
Shifting
Swaying
As the ghostly dance begins.

lost in thought, found in words.

And a lovely hour of midnight dance your portrayed here.  Reminds me of the witching hour and all things mystical and magical, all we need is a full moon!!
Lovely..

I like the mood evoked - gentle reflections leading to peaceful dreams...
thoroughly enjoyed!

It's like when you have your eyes open when someone turns out the light and before you eyes ajust you can't see anything and it's rather scary.
